Argo Space Corp. has completed its Seed funding round, led by Crosslink Capital, raising $7.9M. This brings the company's total funding to $12M to date through a combination of venture capital and SBIR contracts from the United States Space Force and NASA. Additional participants in the round included Type One Ventures, Stellar Ventures, and AIR Capital, among others. Matt Bigge, Partner at Crosslink Capital, said of Crosslink’s support:
Crosslink is excited to invest in Argo and the Argo team. We are excited about their vision to transform space transport and mobility systems. We were immediately impressed by the team and their depth of experience and expertise on both the engineering and business sides.
The space transport and mobility systems Argo are creating have clear near-term utility across commercial and defense use cases. The team's vision for a multi-modal logistics architecture using in-space refueling and propellant sourcing will open up access across all orbits and enable unconstrained, dynamic operations in space. What Argo is building has the potential to fundamentally change how we build space systems and how we operate in orbit.
Argo is using the funds to accelerate the company’s progress in creating the in-space mobility and logistics architecture of the future, with a focus on developing and building the first Argo space vehicle for launch in Q4 2025. This funding will also support hires of additional top-tier engineering talent and our new headquarters in El Segundo, CA. This new location will house design, manufacturing, build, and test of Argo space transport vehicles and lunar surface hardware.
